GOLD SILVER BRONZE BARRA BETTER BEST

Australian fresh farmed Barramundi just keeps on getting better and better and this is proven yet again by outstanding awards at the 2008 Sydney Royal show according to Australian Barramundi Farmers Association’s Graham Dalton.

“ABFA members achieved gold, silver and bronze medals at the show confirming yet again just how good this fish can be when farmed”  Mr Dalton said.

“Australian farmed barramundi is a high quality gourmet product that brings one of the world’s best eating fish to consumers at an affordable price” he said.

Two gold medals were won by Daintree Saltwater Barramundi from far north Queensland.  Silver medals were won by Good Fortune Bay from Bowen in North Queensland and Humpty Doo Barramundi in the Northern Territory. Good Fortune Bay also won a bronze medal in the large whole fillet class.

Australian Barramundi is an iconic eating experience and the Barramundi industry recommends slow cooking some fresh farmed barramundi, on the BBQ, grilled or in olive oil with some lemon to find out why this fish is on nearly every restaurant menu in northern Australia.
